State Bar of Texas Health Law Section Report (Fall 1996) As we begin a new year of the Health Law Section of the State Bar, I am pleased to tell you that the Section is financially sound and that our membership continues to grow. Current membership in the Health Law Section totals 1,213 attorneys. At the State Bar's 1996 Annual Meeting, new officers and members of the Health Law Section Council were elected for 1996-1997 and are noted on the following page. I am looking forward to another busy and successful year for the Health Law Section. We will continue to keep you informed of developments in health care law through the publication of the quarterly newsletter and your participation in the Section's educational programs. The 1996 Health Law Conference is once again begin co-sponsored with the Texas Hospital Association and will be held on October 25-26 in San Antonio at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel.
