Each fall the Texas Board of Legal Specialization offers the certification examination for the specialization in Health Law.   To date, more than 50 attorneys have been certified as Health Law specialists.

The process is straightforward, beginning with an on-line application and exam registration in the  spring. The Health Law Council has prepared exam specifications for the Health Law certification exam, and we strongly encourage applicants to consult these specifications, which identify the subject matter that will be tested and recommended study materials. The examination is given in the fall each year, usually in November.  TBLS posts this information, and as soon as a date is available, it will go out to all members of the Health Law Section via e-mail and on our Section website.
